WKN Officially Recognizes Silat Combat as a New Global Combat Sport !
The WKN is proud to announce a historic decision made today by its World President: Silat Combat is now officially recognized as a new combat sport within the family of WKN combat disciplines.
This landmark recognition marks a major step forward for Silat Combat, a martial art deeply rooted in tradition and culture, now entering a new era under the global standards and professional oversight of the WKN.
Following the successful first WKN-sanctioned Silat Combat event held in Malaysia in June 2026, the WKN has confirmed that the next major Silat Combat organization will take place in Malaysia 🇲🇾 in September 2026 under Mohd Salleh Bin Mahmor from WKN Malaysia office.
Furthermore, the WKN is honored to announce that preparations are already underway for the very first WKN Silat Combat Title, which will soon be promoted and officially introduced to the world.
The WKN today encompasses a wide range of internationally recognized combat disciplines, including Kickboxing, K1, Oriental Rules, Full Contact, MMA, Muay Thai, Kun Khmer, and now Silat Combat.
This decision represents a bold and visionary move by the WKN, reinforcing its commitment to recognizing and developing authentic combat sports on the international stage.
