Prokick at Clayton Hotel: Northern Ireland vs. Cyprus
WKN is back to Northern Ireland tonight (Oct. 14) with a Sunday fight-special produced by Billy Murray. The “made in Prokick” event takes place at Clayton Hotel Belfast featuring the A-list representatives of the country-host up against international opponents coming from Cyprus, Scotland, Ireland and Italy.
Top of the bill Johnny Smith from Bangor and his opponent Periklis Filippou of Cyprus came in exactly the same weight 69.8kg for their WKN International bout scheduled for 3×3 min rounds.
Darren McMullan from Ballygowan and Nikos Kollias of Cyprus came in light for the scheduled WKN match-up over 3×2 and set at 75kg. McMullan hit the scales first and was just under at 74.2 with Kollias coming in at 73.6kg.
An international teenager match set for 3×2 rounds at at 54kg. Jay Snodden from Dundonald came in at 53.2 whilst the visitor Antreas Roujogenis of Cyprus tipped the weight at 53.1. The two 15 year olds looked ready and excited.
Eighteen more fighters hit the scales at 12:30pm local time on Sunday the 14th October.
Doors to the public will open at 3:30pm with the first bell at 4pm sharp. The fight card can be found below.
