WKN makes history

🇰🇭🇦🇷 WKN makes history with the first-ever Kun Khmer championship in South America
On Sunday, May 3rd, the city of Quilmes, Argentina, will host a landmark event in combat sports history. Promoted by Alejandro Íñiguez under the banner of “812 Fights,” this event will feature the very first WKN Kun Khmer Championship ever organized in South America.
This historic bout, officially titled the WKN Argentina Kun Khmer Championship, represents a major step forward in the global development of Kun Khmer, the ancestral martial art of Cambodia. The fight will also be officially registered on BoxRec, reinforcing its legitimacy and international recognition.
In the main event, Brian “Intenso” Battaglia (31), representing Magna / Dojo Serpiente from Ramos Mejía, will face Rodrigo “Psycho” Bogado (25) from Demonios Team, Munro. Battaglia holds a record of 12 wins, 5 losses, and 1 no contest in 18 fights, while Bogado brings an impressive record of 15 victories and only 2 defeats in 17 bouts. Both fighters are expected to deliver a high-level and explosive contest worthy of this historic occasion.
The WKN continues its global mission to develop and promote Kun Khmer with seriousness and professionalism, in full alignment with the official governing authority of the sport, the KKF – Kun Khmer Federation of Cambodia. This collaboration ensures respect for tradition, authenticity, and the cultural heritage of this ancestral discipline.
This event in Quilmes is not just a fight night, but a defining moment for Kun Khmer in South America and a strong signal of its growing international expansion under the WKN banner.
