In recent days, several international federations attempted to place pressure on different parties in order to disrupt and cancel this weekend’s event. Unfortunately, these kinds of tactics are not new. For years, certain organizations have tried to weaken our members through intimidation, political pressure, and misinformation in an effort to destroy the work they have built with honesty and sacrifice. Yet time and time again, they fail because true dedication to the sport is stronger than manipulation.
The WKN remains a serious and respected federation with one clear mission: the development of combat sports worldwide with professionalism, fairness, transparency, and respect for athletes. We believe competition between organizations is healthy and positive for the growth of the sport. But victory should be earned through hard work, quality events, and excellence inside the ring never through political games, pressure campaigns, or false accusations.
Mohd Salleh Bin Mahmor has shown remarkable strength and character throughout this difficult period. Despite the obstacles and external pressure, he remained focused, found solutions, and ensured that this important event could take place successfully. That is what true leadership looks like.
