Kickboxing action returned to Germany with Fighting Rookies Part V held on September 11 at Volkspark Halle (Saale). The event presented by Ingo Baberski of Fight Academy Merseburg featured a series of bouts with WKN title contested in the headliner of the show.
The championship bout saw a pair of super light heavyweights, as Robert Varkentin squared off against Ferotan Ahadi. The contest ended prior to the final bell with Varkentin taking the WKN European pro-amateur title by knockout in the second round.
The championship supervisor was Klaus Hagemann.
