From the Rumble in the Jungle to a remarkable WKN

From the Rumble in the Jungle to a remarkable WKN weekend in Africa 🇿🇦🇬🇦🇷🇪
Don King is one of the most legendary promoters in the history of professional boxing. His name is forever associated with the iconic “Rumble in the Jungle” in Kinshasa, Zaire, in 1974 — the historic Muhammad Ali vs. George Foreman world heavyweight championship.
More than five decades later, Africa continues to write important chapters in the history of combat sports.
This past weekend, the World Kickboxing Network achieved a remarkable milestone, with three WKN events taking place across Africa during the same weekend.
🇷🇪 Réunion Island — WKN Indian Ocean Championship
🇬🇦 Gabon — WKN African Championship in Libreville, where Lilian Raganizo captured the WKN African title against the highly respected Armando Orlando Iyanga Moliko.
🇿🇦 South Africa — WKN SA Open, bringing together amateur fighters and international teams and continuing the development of the next generation of African champions.
Three events. Three locations. One weekend.
Don King helped write the history of professional boxing in Africa. The WKN is now building its own history through kickboxing.
The WKN also holds a unique place in this story: it is the only kickboxing federation to have organized two WKN World Championship events with Don King, one of the most famous promoters in the history of professional boxing.
From the legendary Rumble in the Jungle to three WKN events across Africa in one weekend, the continent remains a powerful stage for the history, development and future of combat sports.
WKN — Simply the Best since 1994.
