WKN Prepares a Major Championship Event in Indonesia 🇮🇩
Indonesia, a nation of more than 285 million people, is rapidly emerging as one of the fastest-growing countries in the world of combat sports. The remarkable development of kickboxing and related disciplines has positioned the country as a strategic destination for a high-level WKN championship with global impact.
On May 30th in Jakarta, Indonesia will officially step into the elite world of professional kickboxing as it hosts its very first WKN Championship event in history. The World Kickboxing Network and its World President are extremely proud to announce this historic milestone.
This exceptional event, organized by U COMBAT PROMOTION, marks the beginning of what promises to be a prolific and long-term series of WKN events in a country that boasts an impressive number of talented fighters. WKN’s objective is clear: to shine an international spotlight on Indonesian athletes and provide them with access to the highest level of global competition.
The event will feature both a prestigious WKN World Championship and a WKN Indonesia National Championship, creating a direct bridge between national excellence and international recognition.
This major project is being developed with the direct involvement of the WKN World President, alongside Alexander Shah, WKN Asia Coordinator based in Singapore, and Dr. Urgyen Rinchen Sim, a key and highly respected figure in the Indonesian combat sports community. Their shared vision and coordinated efforts have made this historic step possible.
Furthermore, WKN will work in close collaboration with the Indonesian National Commission to strengthen institutional ties and to allow the national body to benefit from WKN’s global expertise and decades of experience. Recognized as the largest professional kickboxing federation in the world, WKN brings unparalleled credibility, structure, and international exposure.
