Ko Soktychhorvith, a Cambodian living in France, has dedicated himself wholeheartedly to the international development of Kun Khmer, especially in France. As an advisor to the Kun Khmer Federation, he plays an important role in supporting and promoting this ancient martial art on both national and international levels. Through his passion, commitment, and tireless efforts, he has become a true ambassador of Kun Khmer, helping to preserve and share its rich cultural heritage around the world.
For the past two years, the WKN has been actively working to expand Kun Khmer on the global stage. Important milestones have already been achieved, including the successful organization of a World Championship in Cambodia, as well as major events in Argentina and Italy, with many more international events currently in preparation.
One of the most significant achievements is that the WKN is the only federation in the world to have officially registered Kun Khmer on BoxRec, the world’s largest and most recognized combat sports database. This historic accomplishment has given Kun Khmer greater international recognition and provided athletes with increased global visibility.
Thanks to the dedication of individuals such as Ko Soktychhorvith, this millennia-old sport continues to grow and gain recognition worldwide while remaining true to its traditions, values, and cultural identity.
