WKN South African Open: A Historic Success for Africa, Celebrating the Promoters and the Future of Kickboxing 🇿🇦 !

“The tournament was culminating through talks and dialogue with the WKN President, Stephane Cabrera, who indicated the desire to have a WKN event on the South African soil, after being absent for many years. Vibrant Sport, under management of Josh and Dorothy Cloete, took the challenge of hosting this remarkable event, which will be remembered as the 1st WKN South African Open.
The tournament was attended by athletes from South Africa 🇿🇦 , Zimbabwe 🇿🇼 , Botswana 🇧🇼 and Réunion Island 🇷🇪. The tournament took place at the Plantation Primary School, Grassy Park Cape Town, South Africa. The Competition not just exhibited great skill of the fighters, it also showcase great sportsmanship amongst the athletes and coaches.
The tournament will be an annual event on the calendar of WKN. The LOC of the WKN South African want to extend their gratitude towards the head Office of WKN of the support in order to have made a success of this prestigious tournament.”
The World Kickboxing Network is very proud of this outstanding success, which marked the historic return of WKN competition to South Africa. The first edition of the WKN South African Open has set a new milestone for the continent, combining high-level sport with true sportsmanship.
A date has already been secured for the second edition in 2026, ensuring that this prestigious event will continue to grow and inspire athletes across Africa and beyond.
