Ionut Iftimoaie defeats Loren Jorge in the main event of SuperKombat live on Eurosport on Saturday, 6th August 2016 in Comanesti, Romania.
Romania Ionut Iftimoaie was fighting in his retirement bout in hopes to become a new SuperKombat promotion’s inaugural super cruiserweight champion. Loren Jorge of Spain was a regaining title holder, who was in terms to defend his WKN belt that he earned in Bucharest last November against Andrei Stoica.
After three rounds of action the judges unanimously proclaimed local favorite Iftimoaie as a winner of the contest. Consequently he was crowned as new champion. He received the WKN world championship belt live on air by Eurosport and Sport.ro. The event broke European attendance record with 34.000 fans.
