WKN Proud to Sanction “The Rise Amazonia” in Brazil: Brazil 🇧🇷 vs 🇸🇷 Suriname Showdown !
The World Kickboxing Network is proud to officially sanction “The Rise Amazonia”, taking place on September 13th, 2025, in Belém, Brazil. This unique event brings together two nations of fighting spirit: Brazil vs Suriname under the joint promotion of Luciano Cardoso (Brazil) and former WKN champion Angelo Simson (Suriname), with the crucial support of our Suriname coordinator.
The night promises to showcase South America’s finest talent, with an action-packed card that symbolizes the strength and unity of the region’s fight culture. Among the highlights is Ian Simson, son of the legendary Angelo Simson, who continues his rise on the international stage. Ian is preparing for his upcoming WKN International Championship in New York, USA, and “The Rise Amazonia” serves as a vital step in that journey.
This event also celebrates the return of Angelo Simson to Brazil, not as a fighter this time, but as a promoter and ambassador of the sport. His presence, alongside Luciano Cardoso, reinforces the WKN’s commitment to developing kickboxing in South America, a continent that has already given the world many great champions.
With thrilling matchups such as Tijtel 🇸🇷vs 🇧🇷 Queiroz and Simson 🇸🇷 vs 🇧🇷 Silva, this event is more than just a fight night it is a celebration of the growing rivalry and friendship between Brazil and Suriname, under the proud sanctioning of the World Kickboxing Network.
This event will be historic as it will be the first one recorded in Brazil on Boxrec, our exclusive platform since the agreement done in 2024.
