International kickboxing returned to Northern Ireland on February 17. The “made-in ProKick” event promoted by Billy Murray took place at Stormont Hotel Belfast featuring the leading representatives of Northern Ireland up against international opponents with WKN Irish title contested on the night.
The highlight of the event showcased Rowena Bolt up against Kerry Doyle. The pair battled out for WKN Irish amateur flyweight title in Full Contact. The scheduled for three rounds bout went the distance, with the representative of the city-host Bolt earning a prestigious belt.
In the main event Cathy McAleer defeated Martyna Ciaskowska of Poland scoring the third-round KO win with body shots and knees. Also on the card Salman Shariati and Polish Patryn Klak went the distance in their international match up, with the judges decision proclaimed as draw.
