WKN Negotiations for Official Sanctioning of Kun Khmer Championships 🇰🇭!
The WKN is currently in advanced negotiations to officially sanction Kun Khmer championships. Kun Khmer, a traditional form of boxing that originated in Cambodia, has a rich history and plays a significant role in the country’s martial arts culture. This style of combat is known for its powerful strikes, incorporating punches, elbows, knees, and kicks, as well as strong clinching techniques, much like its counterparts in Muay Thai and other Southeast Asian martial arts.
With its deep roots in Cambodian heritage, Kun Khmer is not only a sport but also a cultural practice that has been passed down through generations.
The WKN recognizes the importance of preserving and promoting such arts, and is excited to bring its global platform to the development of Kun Khmer.
The WKN President will soon be traveling to Asia, with a special focus on Cambodia, to finalize agreements and help organize the first-ever WKN Kun Khmer Championship. This milestone will mark a historic step for the sport, bringing it into the international spotlight under the WKN’s prestigious banner.
Stay tuned for more updates as we move closer to this exciting new chapter for Kun Khmer and the WKN.
