WKN Expands to Chile 🇨🇱: Major Agreement Signed with Ignacio Duarte
The World Kickboxing Network – WKN is proud to announce that an agreement has been officially signed today with Chile and Mr. Ignacio Duarte for the organization of the WKN Championship in Chile. This milestone will allow for the complete development of kickboxing and Muay Thai in the country, providing a platform to showcase the best Chilean fighters on an international stage.
As part of this agreement, all fights will be officially recorded on our official partner, BoxRec, ensuring full recognition of the athletes and their achievements.
2025 WKN Championship Structure
Given the limited timeframe for execution, we have established the following event schedule to ensure the success of the WKN Championships in Chile.
1. Three qualifying events leading up to the WKN 2025 title.
2. A televised grand final featuring a WKN South American or Intercontinental title.
3. Three WKN National Title categories:
– Two in kickboxing modality
– One in MMA modality
– A league format in the first three events
4. Scheduled event dates:
– First event: Saturday, May 17 (Streaming)
– Second event: Saturday, August 16 (Streaming)
– Third event: Saturday, December 6 (To be confirmed, Televised)
5. Additional events featuring professional and amateur fights in Kickboxing and MMA.
6. League Format: Winners from the initial events will qualify to compete in December for the three WKN National Titles.
This agreement marks a significant step in the growth of combat sports in Chile, setting the stage for an exciting and highly competitive championship season.
