🇮🇩 WKN & AOKI Development Agreement – Jakarta, May 30
On May 30, during the historic WKN World Championship in Jakarta, Indonesia, an official Development Agreement will be established, marking a significant step forward for kickboxing in the region.
On this important occasion, the World Kickboxing Network-WKN and its President have chosen to highlight the remarkable work of AOKI — the Asosiasi Olahraga Kombat Indonesia, internationally known as the Indonesian Combat Sports Association (ICSA). AOKI is the official commission responsible for the governance, regulation, and development of kickboxing and combat sports under Indonesian jurisdiction.
Under the leadership of President Rudy “Golden Boy” Agustian and Secretary General Joshua Hamilton, AOKI has played a key role in structuring and strengthening combat sports in Indonesia, supporting athletes, and ensuring the highest standards of governance and professionalism.
For the organization of the May 30 event, WKN will work in full collaboration with AOKI and in strict respect of Indonesian laws and regulations governing combat sports. All activities, competition rules, and event procedures will be conducted under the authority and jurisdiction of AOKI, ensuring that the championship fully complies with national standards. This cooperation reflects WKN’s commitment to respecting national governing bodies and building strong institutional partnerships based on professionalism, transparency, and mutual trust.
To further strengthen these developing ties, WKN will soon officially appoint Indonesian representatives as members of the WKN organization. This step will formalize Indonesia’s growing role within the international WKN structure and reinforce long-term collaboration between WKN and AOKI.
This Development Agreement represents a shared vision: to expand opportunities for Indonesian athletes, promote excellence in combat sports, and establish Indonesia as a key nation within the global kickboxing community.
