India has its own WKN titleholder. Vaibhav Shetty lifted International belt when he faced Ashwin Naidu this past Saturday (Nov. 28) in the headliner of FraggingMonk Fight Night live on pay-per-view from Bengaluru.
The pair squared off in the championship bout at super light heavyweight. Going head to head for five rounds, the competitors put on a spectacular performance. In the end the verdict heard a split judges’ decision going in favor of Shetty.
With the win Vaibhav Shetty took WKN International Super Light Heavyweight title. Furthermore, he became the first Indian fighter to be crowned WKN Champion.

The rest of FraggingMonk Fight Night card featured a series of kickboxing and MMA matchups.
The event marked a return of World Kickboxing Network to India, following “Kumite 1 League with Mike Tyson” produced in September 2018 in Mumbai.
