Three WKN titles are on the line this Saturday in Réunion

La Nuit du K1 – Les Défis du Sud

The World Kickboxing Network returns to Indian Ocean this Saturday (June 29) with a trio of championship bouts held in Réunion. The event billed as “La Nuit du K1 – Les Défis du Sud” (Challenges of South) takes place at Gymnase Nelson Mandela in Saint Pierre.

In the main event Yasser Olivier Lagarrigue of Reunion takes on Julien Schelkens of Belgium. The pair battles it out for WKN InterContinental Super Lightweight title. The championship bout is scheduled for five rounds in oriental kickboxing

In the co-main event another local athlete Vianney Seperoumal faces Lahcen Ait Oussakour, also representing Belgium. The five-round contest is for WKN Continental Middleweight belt.

In addition, Mathias Ruinguin of Reunion squares off against Cano Perez Anderson of Italy. The juniors meet in a three-round encounter with WKN International Welterweight title at stake.

The triple WKN championship event in Réunion is presented back to back with Gladiators Fight Night 23 held in Paola, Malta on the same day (June 29). The event is headlined by newly-crowned World Kickboxing Network Featherweight champion in Full Contact Keith Azzopardi of Malta in his quest to become two-sport world champion when he challenges Qurban Hosseini of Germany for WKN World Featherweight title under oriental rules.

In addition, a day earlier (June 28) World Kickboxing Network is back to Spain with the next edition of MMA series MMARCA presented by Chinto Mordillo in Madrid. The event features the quarter-final bouts of two eliminator-tournaments in the 77 kg and 84 kg classes. The winners will advance to semi-finals, preceding the championship round with WKN titles on the line.
