The WKN Breaks New Ground in Africa 🇿🇦
Following the official announcement, preparations are now well underway for the first-ever WKN Open South Africa 🇿🇦 Amateur Championship, scheduled for September 6th, 2025 in Cape Town.
This historic event marks a major milestone for kickboxing in Africa, as it will be the very first WKN Open Championship to take place on the continent.
The WKN is working closely with local promoter Josh “Cassius” Cloete to ensure the success of this inaugural edition and to lay the foundations for a long-term development strategy of WKN-sanctioned Open Championships across Africa.
With an expected participation of around 300 athletes, this event promises to be a true celebration of the sport, bringing together juniors and seniors in both full contact and light contact kickboxing.
