Due to a wave of airline strikes leading to major disruptions and flight cancellations, a highly anticipated world championship bout at “The King of the Ring 6” scheduled for June 26 in Saviano between Pasquale Amoroso of Italy and Antar Kacem of France was cancelled.
The Europe’s transport crisis made it impossible for the French team, stuck in Germany for over 48 hours, to depart from Frankfurt Airport and reach Saviano, Italy. Despite all the efforts of WKN office, supervisor Riccardo Lecca and promoter of the event to resolve the situation, the airlines, overwhelmed by thousands of passengers, were unable to provide a solution.
