Sergio Batarelli 🇧🇷– A Pioneer and Driving Force in Combat Sports in South America !
Sergio Batarelli is one of the most influential figures in South America when it comes to combat sports. A true pioneer, he was instrumental in bringing kickboxing to national & International television audiences across the continent, particularly through his own World Kickboxing Championships in Brazil.
He was also the creator of modern Vale Tudo, the founder of the legendary IVC, where the WKN World President served as Vice President. Sergio was not only a visionary promoter but also a world-class fighter himself, winning multiple world titles—all broadcast on national & International television during a golden era when kickboxing enjoyed prime-time coverage around the world.
It is with great honor that we recognize Mr. Batarelli’s exceptional contributions at the global level. He was truly a forerunner of everything we know in the sport today.
He also discover many talent as Vanderlei Silva, Chuck Liddell, Wallid Ismail and so many more.
It’s also important to note that he was a key developer of the K-1 during the period when it was the most powerful kickboxing promotion in the world.
Sergio has been very close to the WKN since day one as a promoter, an advisor, a coordinator, a matchmaker, a supervisor & an active member.
