Argentina has been very dear to my heart for more than 20 years. I recently lost a great friend, and I wanted to pay tribute to him. He was a good person a man with a big heart, a true fighter, and an exceptional charisma.
After 7 year without visiting this country, I was finally able to reconnect with my friends and family. Argentina, through our federation, the WKN, sanctioned an outstanding event the biggest in the country featuring three incredible WKN champions of premium quality.
I also had the chance to visit the gym of my dear friend Fernando Muñoz, RETIRO boxing gym dedicated to pain and perseverance, but also to the prestige of Argentine boxing. Accompanied by my friend Pablo, I visited beautiful places such as the Cathedral of Luján, the Retiro Clock, enjoyed the traditional Argentinian asado, and reunited with my community, with whom I have been working for more than two decades.
During my stay, I also had the honor of meeting Natalia the sister of my late friend Jorge “Acero” Cali. Together, we shared our mutual love and deep respect for him a man who left a strong mark on everyone who knew him. It was a very emotional and meaningful moment for me.
I also had the opportunity to meet and exchange with the teams working for the WKN in Uruguay and Peru, which was a very enriching experience, full of motivation and shared passion for the sport and its values.
Together with my former champion and promoter Christian Bosch, his wife Florencia, and our friend Nicola Ryske another former and excellent fighter we have established in Argentina the new foundations for major promotions that will undoubtedly reach exceptional quality in 2026. Their dedication, professionalism, and friendship make me confident that the future of our sport in South America will be stronger than ever.
This country truly touches my heart because of the humanity and kindness of its people. Here, there is no pretense, no arrogance people simply express their love for others and for their friends. Every time I come here, it is a lesson in life for me.
