Paulo Magalhaes presented a night of international kickboxing on July 6 in Lisbon, Portugal. Billed as SHOWFIGHT 37 the event was headlined by WKN International Super Welterweight title bout between Paulo Gerson of Portugal and Matteo Costa of Italy.
The pair was initially scheduled to face off in a five-round encounter with WKN European title on the line. On the fight day local authority enforced the contest to comprise three rounds only, which resulted in demotion of the championship rank.
Gerson and Costa went head to head during three rounds of action. The verdict heard the representative of the country-host taking the win by a unanimous decision.
