Patagonia’s Fighting Spirit: WKN World President Visits Team Aldao Academy
During a personal visit to the breathtaking region of Patagonia, the WKN World President took the opportunity to highlight the growing passion for combat sports in this remarkable part of the world. Known for its wild landscapes and powerful spirit, Patagonia is also home to a dedicated and passionate community of fighters and martial artists.
At the heart of this movement stands Team Aldau, the combat sports academy founded by Maxi Aldao. Specializing in kickboxing, boxing, and MMA, the academy has become a true hub for combat sports in the region. For more than 10 years, Team Aldau has been developing athletes and promoting the core values of discipline, respect, and honor.
During his visit, the WKN President had the chance to witness firsthand the work carried out by this passionate team. The gym reflects the authentic spirit of combat sports — a place that smells of sweat, determination, and hard work, where fighters train with humility and dedication.
The academy, which now counts more than 200 students, has become an important reference point for fighters of all levels in the region. The President also had the opportunity to exchange ideas with the academy’s leadership, including Maxi Aldao and his assistant Juan Torres, discussing the development of combat sports in Patagonia and the role their academy plays in inspiring and training the next generation.
This visit was not only a moment of recognition for the remarkable work accomplished by Maxi Aldao, Juan Torres, and their team, but also a celebration of the fighting spirit that lives in Patagonia — a region where passion, resilience, and honor continue to shape a strong community of combat sports enthusiasts.
