Official Opening of ARSENAL 72 SAD on February 22: A Major Return for Combat Sports in Portugal 🇵🇹
🇵🇹 Paulo Magalhaes officially marks his return to the Portuguese combat sports scene with the opening of ARSENAL 72 SAD on February 22, celebrated through a prestigious inauguration ceremony. Recognized as one of the most respected and prolific promoters in Portugal, he launches a landmark project that signals a strong comeback in 2026.
ARSENAL 72 SAD is a unique, large-scale complex entirely dedicated to combat sports. It includes a modern arena designed to host major international events, as well as AMERICO Sports Bar, named in tribute to his late brother, a devoted supporter of the WKN. Strategically located in the Lisbon region, the venue is set to become a new reference point for combat sports in Portugal.
A former WKN Champion, Paulo Magalhaes is also was of the WKN’s most influential European promoters. Throughout his career, he has organized numerous major events, including several WKN World Championships, notably three editions of the legendary Biggers Better tournament, along with high-level boxing and MMA events.
The WKN World Office is currently in discussions to organize, in March, the first WKN event in Portugal in more than ten years. The WKN World President, a close personal friend of Paulo Magalhaes, will personally oversee and support these new WKN initiatives in Portugal and will soon confirm whether he can attend the official opening to show his support for his longtime friend.
