🇲🇾 Malaysia: Culture, Sport, and a Memorable Human Encounter by WKN President!
Malaysia is a splendid country, rich in culture, landscapes, and diversity. Its population is warm, welcoming, and tolerant, living together with respect despite many different religions and ethnic backgrounds. During my stay, I had the opportunity to discover Malaysia more deeply, not only as a traveler but also through meaningful human encounters.
One of the most memorable moments was during a boxing event, where I watched two excellent fighters whose discipline, strength, and respect truly impressed me. The atmosphere was intense but friendly, showing the strong sporting spirit present in the country.
During this trip, I had the honor of meeting Farkhan Arron, the greatest boxing champion of the country, a living legend, followed by Vivegan Danapalan, the president of the Malaysian Boxing Federation, who was also a great cricket player. I also spent time with my friend Alexander Shah, the person who created professional boxing bases in Southeast Asia, and had the chance to meet one of my promoters, a charming and kind Malaysian kickboxing professional.
I also met passionate sports enthusiasts from Indonesia, as well as Thai champions, including our former world champion Sudsakhorn, and another legend of professional boxing, a multiple-time WBC world champion.
After the event, I met a Gurkha from Nepal, known worldwide for courage, discipline, and loyalty. In Malaysia, Gurkhas work in security, protecting embassies, companies, and major events. Despite his serious role, he was humble, polite, and proud of his heritage, making our conversation truly meaningful.
I also met other remarkable Malaysians with hearts of gold, like Danny, the son of a Malaysian ambassador, whose warmth and generosity made a lasting impression.
This journey, filled with sport, culture, and unforgettable human connections, made my stay in Malaysia truly extraordinary.
