Malaysia 🇲🇾 to Host Its First-Ever WKN Sanctioned Combat Event this week !

For the first time in history, Malaysia will host a combat sports event sanctioned by the World Kickboxing Network . WKN one of the most respected governing bodies in international combat sports. The highly anticipated event, titled Combat Variation Championship, will take place on May 31, 2025, at Dataran Penggaram, Batu Pahat, as part of the Johor International Music & Food Festival.
This historic championship will mark the beginning of a new partnership between WKN and Malaysia, a country already home to a deep pool of talented and dedicated fighters. All amateur bouts during the event will be officially registered on BoxRec, WKN’s exclusive global fight record platform, giving Malaysian athletes a place on the international stage.
The event is officially promoted by Mohd Salleh Bin Mahmor, the WKN representative for this championship. His dedication and leadership are key to launching this new era of WKN presence in Southeast Asia.
The WKN Global Office is currently engaged in discussions regarding the potential visit of the WKN World President to Malaysia before the end of the year, a move that would further solidify this emerging collaboration.
