🇿🇦 Josh Cloete Appointed New WKN Coordinator for South Africa.
10 Official WKN Events Confirmed for 2026
Great news for Africa, a continent with an incredible reservoir of talented fighters.
After months of strong communication and relationship-building, the WKN World Office is proud to announce a major milestone: under the leadership of Mr. Josh Cloete, the newly appointed WKN Coordinator for South Africa, a minimum of 10 official WKN events have been confirmed for 2026 across the country.
Thanks to Mr. Cloete’s dedication and professionalism, global agreements have been signed to secure these ten events, all operating under the authority and guidance of the WKN Federation.
In addition to these new organizations, the WKN also plans to renew the WKN South African Open and support professional championships, including national and African continental titles.
Today marks a great day for South Africa, as the partnership with the WKN will help the country expand internationally and gain greater visibility and recognition on the global combat sports stage.
🖊️ Note:
The WKN World President expresses his great pride in this agreement, which was first initiated with our dear friend, the late Mr. Steve Kalakoda.
We are deeply honored to pay tribute to his memory through this remarkable partnership and the continued development of combat sports in South Africa.
