Invictus Arena 26: Carnevali & Picca claim WKN titles

Two WKN International titles were on the line at Invictus Arena 26 presented by Riccardo Lecca in Rome, Italy on Saturday June 22.

The main event saw the representative of the country-host Luca Carnevali squaring off against Slovakian Erik Matejovsky. The pair battled it out for WKN International Super Middleweight title. The contest went the distance and ended in a unanimous decision pronounced in favor of the local competitor.

In the co-main event another Italian kickboxer, Francesco Picca took on Islam Ibragimov of Russia. The contest was for WKN International Super Lightweight belt. The bout also went the distance with the representative of the country-host earning a unanimous decision.

The rest of the card featured a mixed-fight bill with kickboxing, boxing and Muay Thai bouts.

Invictus Arena 26 in Rome, Italy was the first out of two events that World Kickboxing Network presents this weekend. The next edition of PROKICK takes place tonight (June 23) at the Clayton Hotel in Belfast, Northern Ireland featuring local Johnny “Swift” Smith in the WKN Intercontinental Welterweight title fight against Korean Lee Ji Hoon.
