In Search of a New Team & End of WKN in Chile π¨π±- Future Plans for South America –
With great disappointment, the WKN World Office has received confirmation from the WKN coordinators in Chile that they will no longer organize kickboxing events. This is unfortunate, as Chile, like many South American countries, has a strong pool of talented fighters.
The World Office had, however, significantly assisted in organizing WKN fights in Chile by offering special benefits and supporting the entire regulation process. A great deal of work had been done by our office to ensure the smooth operation of the events.
We will now work to find other competent and dedicated individuals to regulate WKN championships in Chile.
The WKN president himself had planned a trip to meet our community and officially establish the WKN Chile office, appointing supervisors, referees, and judges. Unfortunately, after initially accepting this initiative, the coordinators withdrew and canceled the plans.
We do not know the exact reasons behind this decision, but we assume they are valid, and we do not wish to speculate further. However, we are fully committed to finding new people to support the development of kickboxing in South America.
At the end of February or early March, the WKN president is expected to travel to South America to meet with key WKN representatives in Peru π΅πͺ, Uruguay πΊπΎ , and possibly Colombia π¨π΄, where a new team has contacted us to help regulate our federation in this great country.
More to come about the WKN Development in South America.
