Historic Kickboxing Debut in Malaysia 🇲🇾 Under WKN Recognition !
The Combat Variation Championship Kickboxing Event, held on 31 May 2025 at Dataran Batu Pahat, Johor, Malaysia, marked a historic moment for combat sports in the country. Promoted by Mohd Salleh Bin Mahmor, also known as Coach Royy, the event brought together 100 fighters from nearly every state in Malaysia, demonstrating the growing national enthusiasm for kickboxing.
This was the first tournament in Malaysia organized under the official recognition of the World Kickboxing Network (WKN). The event was successfully held and officially opened by Yang Berhormat Onn Bin Abu Bakar, Member of Parliament for Batu Pahat.
The strong participation proves that WKN is being well received in Malaysia and reflects the increasing interest in recognized and professional combat sports. This tournament marks a solid beginning and a promising path for the sport’s growth in the region.

The next edition of the tournament is scheduled for 21 June 2025. Let’s continue making history together.
