Girl Power: Irem Akin becomes ‘Queen of the Ring’

The fifth episode of Girl Power Kickboxing aired live on SFR Sport 5, B1B Action TV and FITE Pay-Per-View on Friday February 9, 2018 from Stara Zagora, Bulgaria.

Girl Power is a one-night eight-woman featherweight kickboxing contest. To take all, the contender has to collect three victories during one evening in the format of the Olympic system tournament: quarter-final, semi-final and final. The fast-paced bouts are scheduled at 3×2 minute rounds.

Turkish Irem Akin (15-0) won three bouts in one night, becoming the winner of Girl Power Season 1. In the quarterfinal she defeated Bosnian Selma Baltic. In the semi-final she scored the decision against Serbian Marina Spasic. In the final championship bout she similarly defeated French Mallaury Kalachnikoff, as a result taking all tournament.
