First-Ever WKN World Championship at the Famous Lumpinee: Muang Bangpu (Thailand🇹🇭) vs. Mahmoud Ismail (Egypt🇪🇬) in Bangkok!
The WKN is thrilled to announce its first-ever WKN World Championship in Thailand, a historic milestone for the organization. This landmark event, scheduled for December 11 at the renowned Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, highlights WKN’s commitment to showcasing top-level kickboxing talent in Thailand.
This event was made possible through a dedicated partnership between the WKN global office and the rising Thai promoter BIG JOE Promotion and will be honored by the presence of the WKN President, who is making a special trip to support this historic occasion. Additionally, it’s a true privilege for the WKN to regulate this fight alongside the Thailand National Commission, underscoring its significance.
The main event will feature Mahmoud Ismail, the WKN Intercontinental Champion and rising star from Egypt in the featherweight division, facing Thailand’s own champion, Muang Bangpu—a proven and formidable opponent. This 5×3-minute world title fight under Oriental kickboxing rules promises an intense and unforgettable showdown.
Thailand holds a proud legacy within the WKN, with legendary fighters such as Sudsakorn, Sakmongkol, Yuttagangmurtorn, Johmod, and Phetmahaaphrom, who have all made their mark as WKN world champions. This upcoming championship honors that legacy, giving Thailand’s elite fighters a chance to shine once again on the global stage.
