Eddy Nait Slimani: Too Strong, Too Skilled, Too Determined! 🇫🇷
The WKN World Office had carefully selected South Korean contender Ji-myeong Seo, a fighter with an impressive record and Asian solid reputation. Everything pointed to a very high-level challenge for the champion.
But tonight in Avignon, it was a completely different story. Eddy Nait Slimani was simply on another level: faster, smarter, and more precise.
From the very first exchanges, Slimani imposed his rhythm and technique with total authority. Despite his courage and solid background, the Korean fighter was never able to express himself under the constant pressure and brilliance of Slimani’s combinations. Against such determination and skill, it was simply impossible.
Kickboxing and combat sports in general are not exact sciences. Sometimes a fight that seems perfectly balanced on paper or at first glance does not play out as expected. Tonight was one of those nights: despite all indications that the fight could be competitive, Slimani controlled every moment from start to finish.
By the fifth round, Slimani’s dominance was undeniable his combinations forced Seo to a count, and the judges had no doubt: unanimous decision victory for Eddy Nait Slimani, who remains the multiple-time WKN World Champion.
🗞️ Official Note:
Following this outstanding performance, the WKN World President mentioned that a potential WKN fight between Eddy Nait Slimani and Argentinian fighter 🇦🇷Tomas Aguirre who recently stopped by hard Ko round 1 former WKN European Champion Antonio Campoy in Spain could be an exciting prospect for the future of WKN world kickboxing. Aguirre is expected to compete for a WKN Thai Boxing world championship in March and test his South American dominance at the highest global level. This could set the stage for a spectacular showdown. Affair to follow…
Thanks to David Blanc and Bruce Codron, the promoters of the organization, for their excellent work and loyalty to the WKN, and thanks to our supervisor Mr. Habib Bakir for his outstanding work and professionalism.
