CHOSEN🇸🇷: A Leading Organization Elevating Suriname’s Exceptional Fighting Talent with WKN Support !
CHOSEN stands as one of the premier combat sports organizations in South America, celebrated for its dedication to spotlighting emerging talent from Suriname. Through a close collaboration with the World Kickboxing Network-WKN, CHOSEN provides a high-caliber platform for young Surinamese athletes to gain international recognition. The official sanctioning by the WKN further elevates CHOSEN’s prestige, marking it as an organization of outstanding quality.
The WKN’s world president has visited Paramaribo twice, underscoring his commitment to supporting CHOSEN’s growth. During these visits, he witnessed firsthand the remarkable work of promoter Angelo Simson, a former multi-time WKN champion. Simson, who also serves as the striking trainer for UFC star Jairzinho “Bigi Boy” Rozenstruik, has gained immense respect in the world of combat sports. His efforts with CHOSEN receive strong backing from the Vice President of Suriname, Ronnie Brunswijk, highlighting the importance of CHOSEN’s mission to the country.
It should also be noted that Angelo Simson is committed to developing sports for the younger generations. The WKN president observed this dedication firsthand, visiting various schools across Suriname to promote kickboxing among youth and encourage future talent.
Thanks to CHOSEN’s agreements with the WKN and its sanctioned titles, Angelo Simson and the WKN president—bound by a longstanding friendship—have successfully secured two Surinamese fighters a place at the prestigious BFS event in Nîmes. Among them is Guevero Nijhove, a double WKN champion who will have the tremendous honor of competing for the WKN world title. A second Surinamese fighter, whose name will soon be announced, will also represent the nation.
