BFS Edition 4 By IDF 🇫🇷
“Saturday evening (editor’s note: March 9, 2024) in Nîmes in a copiously stocked Parnasse despite complex weather conditions, the BFS Event IV entered the league of the major foot-fisted organizations in France. The organizing trio Habib Bakir, Olivier Cerdan and Stéphane Manquenouille offered an event that will be remembered for a long time. A show which reminds us that French kickboxing does well when it is done well! From the show to the fights, the evening was perfect and the public was not mistaken.
*Smart matchmaking
By relying on a panel of boxers with diverse profiles and putting them in opposition, the BFS Event found the right alchemy with the result of 11 fights where commitment, strategy and fighting spirit were essential. The main event held its place and yet the fights which preceded it set the bar very high in terms of level. Adrover came through with an anthology finish after muscular and unbridled exchanges as desired. The scenario of the BFS Event 4th of the name was perfect with a phenomenal rise in power.
*Boxers in a cocoon!
Boxers and coaches are unanimous! The conditions for fighting were incredible. The welcome given to those involved in the evening largely met the expectations of those involved and even beyond. Baskets of dried and fresh fruit in the locker rooms, the hotel, food but also responses to different last minute expectations, the Nîmes show pulled out all the stops and thus made it possible to get the best from the scheduled athletes.
*The WKN’s show of force
The World Kickboxing Network was present in large numbers on Saturday evening for the completely crazy World Championship between Akram Hamidi and Korean Duk Jae Yoon. No less than 6 coordinators of the WKN were present (France, Belgium, Italy, Indian Ocean, Tunisia) for the evening without forgetting Stéphane Cabrera the boss of the federation who undoubtedly remembered the years when he himself organized in the same city with a certain Habib Bakir on the program.
*The future is calm for the BFS Event
The future is bright for the BFS Event. Supported by Jean Paul Fournier, mayor of Nîmes, Habib Bakir, Olivier Cerdan and Stéphane Manquenouille met expectations and much more. By placing Nîmes among the large foot-fisted cities in France, the promotion hit hard especially as it places itself among the few in France to have a big name like Akram Hamidi on the bill. The quality of the fights but also the fantastic show around the ring are major assets without forgetting the experience of the organizers which is clearly worth its weight in gold.
*Nostalgia for present times
The BFS Event is nostalgia for the present. Building on what we did a few years ago and new communication methods, the Nîmes event is an envy. This 4th opus which relied on a casting of boxers from the 4 corners of France but also from Italy, Tunisia and Korea giving a logical international dimension. Having such an attendance with such a broad program demonstrates one essential thing: the work done upstream with previous editions was the right one. All that now remains for Habib, Olivier and Stéphane to focus on the upcoming edition while savoring the success of a 2024 opus set in stone for great evenings.
