« What a proud moment today to have received, as a surprise, an exceptional book on boxing—« The Great Book of Boxing »written by my friend and partner of over 20 years, Jean-Philippe Lustyk. This gift is truly something special to me, not just because of the content, but because of the person behind it.
I have great respect for Jean-Philippe, who has always been, since I was very young, the face of boxing in France. Over the years, as I got to know him better and worked with him on exclusive projects, I realized that he wasn’t just the face of French boxing but rather the face of world boxing. His sports knowledge across all disciplines is incredible, but it’s in boxing where he truly excels. I’ve never met anyone with such extensive knowledge on the subject, and he’s an exceptional TV commentator with a remarkable voice.
But beyond his expertise, what truly sets Jean-Philippe apart is his incredible humanity. He’s the kind of person who always has a smile on his face and a kind word for everyone he meets. Whether it’s friends, colleagues, or people he encounters in his daily life, Jean-Philippe’s warmth and generosity never go unnoticed. He’s a rare gem in the world of sports, and I’m lucky to call him my friend.
Today, I’m personally very proud to have received this gift from a dear friend, and I have a special thought for his father, whom I was fortunate to know, who would have been incredibly proud to see the work put into his son’s two books.
