A Historic Step Forward in South Africa 🇿🇦!
A major announcement has just been made today following a historic agreement between the President of the WKN and the South African authorities: on September 6th, 2025 the first-ever WKN-sanctioned Open South Africa Amateur Championship will take place.
The WKN is extremely proud to officially sanction this landmark event, which is personally supported by the co-president involved. This championship marks a historic moment, as it is the very first of its kind to be held in South Africa under the WKN banner.
We are fully committed to ensuring the successful organization and execution of this championship, and we will be officially registering the event with our partner, Boxrec.
