The World Kickboxing Network returns to the United Kingdom on Saturday, July 9 with “Young Celts Collide” Fight Night taking place at Fraserburgh Leisure Centre in Fraserburgh, Scotland. The event presented by Albert Ross features a series of bouts with local and international competitors.
The headline-bout pits representative of the country-host Shane Weir and current WKN International and former European amateur featherweight champion Jan Snoddon of Northern Ireland. The pair battles it out for the prestigious vacant WKN British lightweight title in oriental kickboxing.
The championship supervisor is Gary Langford.
“The upcoming ‘Young Celts Collide’ Fight Night in Scotland will highlight a new generation of kickboxing talent from the UK,” said President of World Kickboxing Network, Stephane Cabrera. “For the development of sport and its bright future, we need new champions and new stars. This event in Fraserburgh on July 9, with the WKN British title contested by two prospects, Scotland’s Shane Weir and Northern Ireland’s Jay Snoddon, promises to be explosive.”

The previous event held in Scotland goes back to August 2019 when Fraserburgh hosted WKN British Open. The recent visit of World Kickboxing Network to the United Kingdom was made this past April, when Billy Murray presented “Kickboxing ProspeX” made in Prokick event in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
