From the First Introduction to a Historic Milestone: The WKN Journey in Vietnam 🇻🇳 !
The official story of the WKN in Vietnam began several years ago when one of our Asian coordinators, the highly respected and influential combat sports figure Mr. Alexander Shah of Singapore, introduced Mr. Trịnh to WKN World President Stéphane Cabrera.
This introduction marked the beginning of a professional relationship built on mutual trust and a shared vision for developing combat sports in Vietnam. Together, they successfully organized the very first Professional Boxing World Championship in Vietnam, an event personally supervised by the WKN World President.
Over the years, President Stéphane Cabrera has traveled to Vietnam on several occasions, strengthening not only the cooperation between the WKN and the Vietnamese combat sports community but also building a genuine friendship with Mr. Trịnh.
Today, that relationship has grown into a major international project. On August 29, Mr Trinh will host a landmark WKN event featuring two prestigious WKN championship bouts, reflecting years of dedication, confidence, and shared ambition.
What started with a simple introduction has become one of the most promising partnerships in Asian combat sports, opening a new chapter for the WKN in Vietnam and reinforcing its commitment to developing world-class events throughout the region.
