The World’s First Stadium Dedicated to Kun Khmer Opens in Phnom Penh 🇰🇭
The world’s very first stadium dedicated exclusively to Kun Khmer has officially been inaugurated in Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia.
This unique and visionary project is the result of the remarkable work and commitment of General Khov Chhay, President of the Kun Khmer Federation, together with his dedicated team. Designed with a modern architectural concept, the venue features state-of-the-art facilities, including a fully equipped television production infrastructure that allows major Kun Khmer events to be broadcast live across Cambodia and to audiences around the world.
Last year, WKN President Stéphane Cabrera had the opportunity to visit the stadium while it was still under construction, accompanied by General Khov Chhay. After seeing the impressive scale and quality of the project firsthand, there is strong optimism that, in the near future, this exceptional arena will host prestigious WKN Kun Khmer Championship events.
The opening of this landmark venue represents a major milestone in the development of Kun Khmer and further strengthens Cambodia’s position as the true home of one of the world’s oldest and most spectacular martial arts.
