The Active Fight Rules (AFR) system stands as the exclusive signature that the WKN has created to define, structure, and elevate Kun Khmer on the international stage. Designed to embody a dynamic, offensive, and constantly engaging style, AFR requires fighters to demonstrate continuous initiative and forward pressure. Passivity, excessive retreat, or inactive clinching are strictly penalized, ensuring intense, action-driven bouts. By prioritizing clean, effective techniques and offensive dominance, AFR delivers a modern, spectator-friendly format while remaining deeply rooted in the authentic spirit of Kun Khmer.
This unique identity is not accidental, it is the result of a deliberate vision. The AFR system was conceived and developed by the WKN World President himself after more than two years of extensive study, analyzing both the historical foundations of Kun Khmer and the greatest fights in its history. This work led to the creation of a structured and distinctive rule set, officially registered with BoxRec, reinforcing its legitimacy on the global stage.
From the very beginning, this development has been carried out in close cooperation with the Kun Khmer Federation, under the guidance and full approval of General Khov Chhay. Through this collaboration, the WKN has established AFR as its exclusive signature driving the international development of Kun Khmer through its federation, while preserving its cultural heritage and ensuring its recognition as a unique and elite combat sport worldwide.
