🇨🇦The WKN in Canada: A Legacy of pro Kickboxing Excellence since the 90’ and a New Era of Growth !

Whether it pleases some or not, the World Kickboxing Network – WKN has been a definitive force in the Canadian combat sports landscape since the 1990s. For decades, our federation has maintained a truly global vision, sanctioning world-class events and elevating the sport to an international standard. Our presence in Canada is not new; it is a long-standing history of excellence that has always operated on a worldwide scale.

Canada has been a vital part of this journey for many years. The WKN has had the honor of sanctioning legendary athletes, and many iconic Canadian champions have proudly held WKN titles. Names like Chantal Nadon, Jonathan Di Bella, and Gabriel Vargas are etched in our history, representing the elite level of talent that our federation has fostered and recognized since the beginning.

This enduring presence is the result of tireless work by visionary leaders. One of the true pioneers of our federation’s development was our dear friend and loyal member, Alin Halmagean. His exceptional work as a coach and promoter laid the foundation for the WKN’s prestige in North America.
More recently, this momentum has been carried forward by Mr. Karim Chebbi, who has successfully built a dynamic Canadian federation working in exclusive partnership with the WKN.

Together, Alin Halmagean and Karim Chebbi are the key pillars of the WKN New Generation. This new era is already producing a formidable wave of Canadian talent. We are proud to support and showcase the “New Generation” of fighters, including:
• Trevor Lethbridge
• Sam Skinner
• Aramis Gadito
• Isai Polanco
• Santiago Reyes
• …and many other rising stars.

This is only the beginning. We remain committed to our heritage while building an even stronger, more exclusive future for Canadian kickboxing. The WKN is here to stay, bridging the gap between the legends of the past and the champions of tomorrow.

🙏 In tribute to Sebastian Halmagean
