🇲🇾 WKN Returns to Malaysia with the Combat Variation Championship amateur event !
The WKN officially returns to Malaysia with the organization of its first amateur event, the Combat Variation Championship (CVC), which will take place on 7 February 2026 at Pekan Rabu, Kluang, Johor.
This event is promoted by Mohd Salleh Bin Mahmor and supervised by Khairul Anuar.
The competition will be conducted under WKN rules and standards, supported by an appointed panel of judges (Muhammed Nur Daniel, Mohd Shahril, Muhammad Nazrin Shah, Suhana Dalal) and referees (Nor Aiman, Putra Amirul, Musolini, Nazrul, Mohd Shafiq Izuan).
A total of 120 Malaysian amateur kickboxers will compete, divided into three categories:
• Kids Division: 40 fighters, 20 bouts (3 x 1 minute)
• Youth Division: 40 fighters, 20 bouts (3 x 2 minutes)
• Adult Division: 40 fighters, 20 bouts (3 x 2 minutes)
Beyond this event, the WKN will soon organize an official judges and referees seminar in Malaysia. This seminar will allow the training, certification, and official registration of WKN judges and referees, with the objective of establishing a fully recognized WKN officials team in Malaysia.
The Combat Variation Championship is a key step in the development of amateur kickboxing and confirms the WKN’s long-term commitment to building a strong and structured presence in Malaysia.
