A Small Country with Great Talent !
The WKN World Tour is an international initiative launched several years ago by the World President of the World Kickboxing Network (WKN). Since its creation, the tour has traveled across the globe to Nepal 🇳🇵 , Jordan 🇯🇴 , Kazakhstan 🇰🇿 , Kyrgyzstan 🇰🇬 , Armenia 🇦🇲 , Tanzania 🇹🇿 , Hong Kong 🇭🇰 , Zanzibar and many other nations, each time highlighting countries where true talent and tremendous potential shine through.
This year, the President has chosen Latvia, a country he knows very well and one that is home to many skilled and passionate fighters. The WKN World Tour continues to showcase the diversity and excellence of combat sports around the world.
This initiative also creates valuable opportunities to connect with major figures and organizations within the global combat sports scene.
Today, we had the privilege of visiting a boxing, kickboxing, and MMA facility inside a modern multi-sport complex — a place that perfectly represents Latvia’s strong commitment to athletic growth and international collaboration.
This gym, which opened more than ten years ago, radiates passion, dedication, and the true spirit of combat sports.
Two passionate coaches — Valerijs Mikalauskas and Rolands Mikalauskas from Golden Glory Latvija, are also proud WKN members, serving as officials and outstanding referees. Their dedication and professionalism embody the spirit of the WKN and the continuous development of combat sports in Latvia.
Alongside his lifelong friend and World Director, the legendary multiple-time World Champion Osman Yigin, the WKN President continues to promote unity, excellence, and respect within the worldwide kickboxing family.
In the coming days, we will continue our journey by visiting other gyms and meeting key figures of the Baltic combat sports scene, further strengthening the bonds within this dynamic and talented region.
