Good luck to all fighters this weekend at the WKN Open South Africa Amateur Championship 🇿🇦
A historic moment is here: the very first WKN Open Championship in Africa takes place this Saturday, September 6th, 2025, in Cape Town.
This milestone event brings together athletes from South Africa 🇿🇦 , Réunion Island 🇷🇪, and Zimbabwe 🇿🇼, a true celebration of kickboxing and unity across the continent.
Under the leadership of Josh “Cassius” Cloete and his wife Dorothy Cloete, with the support of WKN World President the foundation is being laid for a strong and lasting WKN presence in Africa.
Nearly 300 athletes, juniors and seniors, in both full contact and light contact are ready to make history this weekend.
What makes this even more special is the kindness and hospitality of the promoters, who personally welcomed the international fighters at the airport, making them feel at home in the beauty of South Africa.
Congratulations to the Cloetes for their extraordinary work and dedication. The kickboxing world wishes them the greatest success for this unforgettable first edition.
