Since its founding in 1994, the World Kickboxing Network – WKN has been a trailblazer in the global combat sports industry, pioneering numerous advancements that have shaped modern kickboxing. ✅First & only kickboxing federation to collaborate with the legendary American promoter Don King, marking a historic moment in combat sports.
✅First to introduce three-minute rounds for kickboxing championship bouts, aligning the sport with professional boxing standards.
✅First to establish PRO/AM titles, maintaining the high technical level of top amateur competition, internationally recognized as Class B.
✅First to organize regular world championship events broadcast on Eurosport, bringing kickboxing to a global audience.
✅ First to organize official championships with a globally recognized football team, such as SFL Benfica Lisbon.

✅The only federation to have organized the unique “BBFS – Bike, Bull & Fight Show” in the late 90s, a groundbreaking event that combined motorcycling and bikers, bullfighting, and kickboxing.
✅The only kickboxing/Muay Thai federation to have awarded 24K gold-plated championship rings to select champions. Three editions of these rings were created for *Fight Night Saint-Tropez, *Acero Cali para la Victoria, and the *WKN 30th Anniversary.
✅The first federation to organize a world championship on a cruise ship during the famous “Corsica Cup,” an event promoted by the well-known Corsican figure Mr. Toussaint Andarelli. It was also the first world championship in Europe to feature a Chinese fighter.
✅The first to co-organize the famous heavyweight Tournament Biggers Better series, a professional boxing event broadcast live on Eurosport for four years, consistently breaking audience records. Each event featured a WKN world champion, further solidifying the federation’s influence in combat sports.
✅The first kickboxing federation to create the WKN World Tour, the only federation in the world with an aid program for countries where international sports development is difficult.
✅The first kickboxing federation to organize a world championship at the legendary Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, marking a historic milestone in the sport’s global expansion.
✅The first federation to sanction the biggest kickboxing event audience in all of Europe, during the SUPERKOMBAT event in Romania, which gathered over 30,000 spectators.
