Organized by Russia’s leading promoter, Kamil Gadzhiev, and honored by the presence of the WKN World President, this event became a defining moment for Russian kickboxing.
The main event featured a historic battle for the WKN Kickboxing Super-Welterweight World Title, pitting 🇷🇺 Batu Khasikov, a proud representative of Russia and Kalmykia, against the Greek superstar 🇬🇷 Mike Zambidis.
In an epic showdown, Batu Khasikov emerged victorious, securing the prestigious WKN crown in what remains the most significant fight in Russian kickboxing history.
This victory not only elevated Khasikov’s career but also shone a spotlight on Kalmykia , a culturally rich region in southern Russia. Known for its martial arts legacy, Kalmykia celebrated its champion, who would later become its President, as a symbol of resilience and excellence.
Adding to the evening’s grandeur, Vladimir Mineev 🇷🇺 defended his WKN Kickboxing super cruiser weight WKN World Title in a thrilling bout against Sergej Maslojobev 🇱🇹,further solidifying the event as a historic milestone.
To commemorate this unforgettable moment, the WKN Championship belt from Khasikov’s victory was presented to the Russian presidency in Moscow, a gesture symbolizing the close ties between the sport and the nation’s leadership.
