One of the best and most glamorous sporting events in the world, Fight Night Saint Tropez produces its next chapter on Friday August 4 at Citadel. The happening is the fifth anniversary of the gala that gathers numerous notable kickboxers and celebrities under one roof.
Fight Night Saint Tropez 5 is a seven-fight program featuring French and international stars. Furthermore, prestigious WKN belt will be contested on the night.
Reigning World Kickboxing Network super middleweight champion out of France Yohan Lidon faces off Florian Kroger of Germany in defense of the title. Moreover, “The Beast” Bob Sapp out of the US is coming to Saint Tropez to challenge French world champion Gregory Tony in a non-title super heavyweight battle.
In addition the fight card includes a series of heavyweight bouts featuring “Slovakian Giant” Tomas Mozny face off England’s Daniel Sam and French Stephane Susperregui up against Congolese-German Danyo Ilunda. As well Belgian Filip Verliden takes on Mikhail Chalykh of Russia also at heavyweight.
The fight card also includes a welterweight bout in Muay Thai between Russian Evgeny Kuravskoi and Umar Semata of Uganda, and a women’s featherweight contest between French Mallaury Kalachnikoff and Marina Spasic of Serbia.
The official weigh-in ceremony takes its place on Thursday. The event airs on SFR Sport 5 in terms of kickboxing series “Dark Fights”.
