The former world champion kickboxer Billy Murray earns the top accolade for Outstanding Contribution at the Eastside Awards held on January 25 at Stormont Hotel in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
Over the course of his career as the fighter Billy Murray won professional World Titles in four different weight categories. He is the first Irishman to achieve such accomplishment.
Today, the well-known trainer at ProKick as well as the leading promoter in Northern Ireland, Murray continues popularizing Kickboxing, as well as the “Truth, Discipline and Respect” character traits, that are taught at his gym, which always has its doors open.
Acknowledged for his outstanding contribution, Billy Murray received the top accolade at the Eastside Awards which is an initiative aimed at highlighting all that is good about East Belfast, whilst showcasing the contributions being made to the economic, social and community development of the area.
