🇰🇭 Visit to the Heart of Cambodian Kun Khmer at Bunthen Gym !
It was with deep emotion and great pride that the World President, accompanied by General Khov Chhay, visited the heart of Cambodian Kun Khmer training camps to witness firsthand the extraordinary work carried out by the fighters.
This visit offered a genuine insight into the discipline, respect, strength, and humility that define these athletes, who are internationally recognized as some of the toughest and most resilient competitors in striking combat sports.
Kun Khmer is a historic martial art, deeply rooted in the legacy of the ancient Khmer civilization. Its uniqueness does not lie merely in the use of elbow techniques, but in the exceptionally high number of elbows delivered in each bout. Fighters apply elbow strikes continuously, with intensity and precision, making them a central element of the combat rather than an occasional weapon.
Every fight is characterized by immediate engagement and relentless pressure from the opening seconds. There is no hesitation and no tactical delay only constant forward movement, commitment, and endurance. This sustained offensive rhythm is what makes Kun Khmer particularly demanding and unmistakably distinct.
This uncompromising intensity defines Kun Khmer as a centuries-old combat discipline, inherited from the Khmer Kingdom and preserved through generations as a powerful symbol of Cambodian history, culture, and martial identity.
